Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a General Manager for Patient Access (Surgery) to lead patient services in the Surgery Clinical Service. The post sits in aClinical Group, reporting to the Clinical Director, and forms part of a senior leadership triumvirate with the Lead Nurse and Clinical Lead.

You will drive performance against waiting list targets, finance, and service quality while contributing to the Trust's operating model and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduate or equivalent level of experience.
• Managerial qualification equivalent to post graduate diploma or equivalent experience.
• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience or qualification relating to specialty.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of all patient services within the Clinical Service under the Clinical Director.
• Ensure operational performance targets, including waiting lists, finance, and quality of services, within available income.
• Be part of the triumvirate with the Lead Nurse and Clinical Lead, with direction from the Clinical Director and support from the Clinical Group Directors.
• On-call requirements will be confirmed within Clinical Groups to align with the Operating Model.

Education
