Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a General Ledger Manager in Hemel Hempstead. Hybrid role (3 days in office) with travel between offices. Permanent position with a salary of £70,000–£85,000 per year plus bonus and extensive benefits.

You will oversee the UK&I General Ledger function, ensure accurate reporting, and lead improvements across Financial Services. You will report to the Director of Financial Services and manage a mid-sized team.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong R2R and GL experience.
• Proven month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Strong balance sheet management experience.
• Experience leading teams and managing resources.
• Strong controls, governance and compliance knowledge.
• Experience in construction/engineering/utilities or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK&I General Ledger function and manage a team of approximately 5-12 people.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity across multiple operating companies.
• Direct month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Drive standardisation and automation across GL processes.
• Support internal and external audit activity and governance.
• Provide senior management with financial trends and reporting.
