Job summary

DCV Technologies in London is seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Consultant to join a major cloud initiative on a 6‑month contract. The role requires hands-on experience across GCP, GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and CI/CD automation.

You will design and operate scalable cloud-native platforms, manage GKE clusters, implement IaC, develop pipelines with Groovy, and support observability with Datadog or Grafana in hybrid-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on GCP experience required.
• GKE and Kubernetes expertise essential.
• Docker and Helm proficiency expected.
• Terraform and Ansible configuration skills.
• Jenkins CI/CD with Groovy scripting experience.
• Python and Bash scripting ability.
• Linux/Unix admin and troubleshooting skills.
• Git with branching strategy knowledge.
• DevSecOps mindset and security scanning tools.
• Enterprise networking and firewall knowledge.
• Desirable certifications and cloud tooling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate and operate scalable cloud-native platforms on GCP.
• Manage and support GKE/Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop automation using Python and Bash scripts.
• Build Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, including Groovy scripts.
• Manage container deployments with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Work with GCP services like CloudSQL and Memorystore.
• Automate build, deployment, security scanning and tooling integrations.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Support monitoring with Datadog, Grafana and AppDynamics.
• Operate across public and hybrid-cloud environments, including networking/firewall tasks.
