Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a full-time Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Directorate across the Royal Hallamshire and Northern General Hospitals. The role features a 10 PA plan, with explicit duties in outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and on-call rotas.

Applicants should have GMC registration or be eligible and hold specialist qualifications.

Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent is expected.
• MD or PhD or equivalent is expected.
• Full and Specialist GMC registration or eligibility within 6 months of interview.
• CCT or equivalent within 6 months of interview.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology on-call and GI bleeding rotas.
• Contribute to teaching, research, clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
• Provide consultant-led ward rounds, outpatient activity and SPA.
• Attend to acute specialist take and day-to-day service needs as part of the job plan.
