We’re seeking a Senior Gas Turbine Engineer to work on projects involving propellers, rotors and gas turbines. Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Lead and optimize manufacturing processes for gas turbines, ensuring efficiency and compliance with aerospace quality standards.
2. Develop and implement repair and maintenance strategies for rotors, propellers and associated aerospace systems.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed documentation for manufacturing workflows, repair protocols, and system enhancements specific to aerospace applications.
4. Support continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Kanban to streamline aerospace production and maintenance operations.
5. Ensure compliance with BPSS security clearance requirements and aerospace industry regulations while working on classified projects.
6. Provide technical mentorship and leadership within the team, driving excellence in aerospace engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

1. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in aerospace or a related field.
2. Proven expertise in gas turbine systems, including repair processes and documentation for aerospace applications.
3. Familiarity with Kanban and other lean manufacturing tools.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization for aerospace systems.
5. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
6. BPSS Clearance eligibility is mandatory and you must hold the full right to work within the UK.
