What will you be doing?

We're seeking a Senior Gas Turbine Engineer to work on projects involving propellers, rotors and gas turbines. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead and optimize manufacturing processes for gas turbines, ensuring efficiency and compliance with aerospace quality standards;
• Develop and implement repair and maintenance strategies for rotors, propellers and associated aerospace systems;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed documentation for manufacturing workflows, repair protocols, and system enhancements specific to aerospace applications;
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Kanban to streamline aerospace production and maintenance operations;
• Ensure compliance with BPSS security clearance requirements and aerospace industry regulations while working on classified projects;
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership within the team, driving excellence in aerospace engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in aerospace or a related field;
• Proven expertise in gas turbine systems, including repair processes and documentation for aerospace applications;
• Familiarity with Kanban and other lean manufacturing tools;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization for aerospace systems;
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline;
• BPSS Clearance eligibility is mandatory and you must hold the full right to work within the UK.
