Rise & Fall is a UK-based startup redefining luxury apparel with sustainability at its core. This Senior Garment Technologist role oversees technical integrity across menswear and womenswear, driving fit, construction, and continuous improvement in garment production.

You will collaborate with the Head of Product Development and Technical Lead to own garment technology across knitwear, jersey, wovens, leather, and outerwear, ensuring quality fits and scalable processes.

About the role

This is a Senior level Garment Technologist role. You will be responsible for supporting the technical function, ensuring the technical integrity, fit, and quality of garments in multi-product categories, maintaining the brand's aesthetic, and driving continuous improvement in garment production processes.

We're a small team, which means the person in this role won't be one technologist among twenty. You'll work closely with our Head of Product Development and Technical Lead to own garment technology across the entire clothing offer — menswear and womenswear — from knitwear, jersey, wovens to leather, casual wear, formal wear to outwear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the fit and sealing process and owning responsibility for the execution of the final fit of all products as agreed with product teams.
• Technical Strategy & Vision: Fit and construction excellence for the products. Supporting the development of consistent fit blocks and size specifications alongside our Head of Technical, ensuring optimal fit, quality, comfort, and wearability that reflects the brand's aesthetic and thereby reduce return rates due to fit and quality to achieve company KPI
• Ensure that tech packs are updated with fit comments, specifications, and vendors are informed in line with the critical path requirement dates.
• We’re a small team, so owning the day-to-day admin of measuring samples, preparing for fit sessions and archiving protos is essential too.
• Join weekly team meetings to ensure critical path deadlines are on track, and business objectives are met, and to facilitate problem-solving and process optimization.
• Be the technical point of contact for our manufacturing partners, giving clear, actionable feedback that resolves issues rather than passing them on. Ensure digital technology is embraced (such as VC fit meetings, AI) and to evaluate and implement new digital technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the garment development process.
• Approve testing, care labels and trims, and sign off the technical documentation needed at seal, following RF manual and guideline and ensure products meet relevant safety, legal, and ethical compliance standards in target markets.
• Review and approve AQL inspection report, able to solve the issue and raise the concerns to the team

About you:

• Solid garment technology experience across multiple product categories, from knitwear, jersey, wovens to leather. Casual wear, formal wear to outwear. • Genuine expertise in garment construction, pattern amendments, fit, and manufacturing processes, with a deep knowledge of advanced techniques and industry best practices.
• Strong fabric and raw materials knowledge — construction, performance and testing
• Confident leading fit sessions and influencing Design, Product Development and Buying with a technical point of view
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively.
• Experience managing suppliers, including resolving quality problems in line with critical path deadlines
• Make the most of our data: Analyse performance data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve our fits and blocks
• You have a bias to action, when you see problems you’re driven to solve them

The Package:

• This is a full-time role, requiring at least 3 days per week in our West London studio. Two of these days must be Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when the wider product team is in and fit sessions run
