Job summary

Club L London is seeking an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join our Manchester HQ, leading fit and quality across the full product development lifecycle. You will own fit sessions, manage supplier communication, and uphold quality standards to ensure products meet brand expectations.

Qualifications

Experience as senior technologist preferred but not essential
Degree or similar within technical textiles
Ability to fit accurately and at speed
Strong understanding of pattern cutting and garment construction
Attention to detail to maintain quality standards
Understanding of testing and compliance
Passionate about the Club L London product
Organised and able to lead in a fast-paced environment
Desire to progress and grow within a team

Responsibilities

Work closely with design, production, and merchandising throughout the product development process
Own and lead live fit sessions with the design team to achieve perfect Club L London product
Create comprehensive fit comments with imagery and diagrams
Communicate daily with a global supply base to ensure products meet fit and quality standards
Prioritise workload to meet critical business deadlines
Approve care labels and test reports
Own departmental product returns and investigate high-return styles
Develop junior team members to support progression
Educate suppliers to achieve consistent quality and fit across global supply base
Implement departmental projects to standardise and improve ways of working
Collaborate with inbound QC to improve quality and minimise returns
Travel to visit supply base and warehouse as required

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join our team at our Manchester HQ, leading fit and quality across the full product development lifecycle. You will take ownership of fit sessions, supplier communication, and quality standards, ensuring all products meet the brand’s expectations for fit, consistency, and performance. Working closely with Design, Production, and Merchandising, you will play a key role in driving best practices, improving processes, and reducing returns. You will also support and develop junior team members while building strong relationships with our global supply base. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical expertise, a commercial mindset, and a passion for delivering high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the design, production, and merchandising team throughout the product development process.
Own and lead live fit sessions, working collaboratively with the design team to achieve the perfect Club L London product.
Creation of comprehensive, logical, and clearly written fit comments complete with supporting imagery and diagrams.
Communicating daily with a global supply base to ensure all products are manufactured to the required fit and quality standards.
Ability to prioritise workload to ensure critical business deadlines are achieved.
Approval of care labels and test reports.
Ownership of departmental product returns, investigating high returning styles and bringing solutions to achieve company returns targets.
Develop junior members of the team to support progression within the department.
Support and educate suppliers to achieve consistent quality and fit across a global supply base.
Implement departmental projects to standardise and improve ways of working.
Work closely with the inbound QC team to improve quality and minimise customer returns.
Travel as required to visit the supply base and warehouse.

About You

Previous experience as senior technologist is preferred but not essential.
Preferably a degree or similar within technical textiles.
Ability to fit accurately and at speed to ensure Club L London are first to market with the latest trends.
Strong understanding of pattern cutting and garment construction, a pattern cutting background is preferred but not essential.
Attention to detail is key to maintain the brands quality standards.
An understanding of testing and compliance is essential.
Passionate about the Club L London product, customer focused attitude and commercial eye.
Must be organised and able to lead and work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to progress and grow within a team, taking on extra responsibilities where relevant
