Job summary

Rebellion in the UK is seeking a Senior Animator to craft engaging gameplay animations for upcoming 3rd-person tactical shooters. You will work across our Oxford or Warwick studios with a world-class team, contributing to character and creature motion that meets technical and artistic standards.

You'll collaborate with engineers on our custom engine, mentor juniors, and help shape production pipelines while using Maya or MotionBuilder and tracking tasks in JIRA.

Qualifications

• Senior Animator with experience in gameplay animation and 3D character/creature animation (must).
• Strong understanding of production pipelines, timing and storytelling.
• Experience with Motion Capture data processing and pipelines.
• Ability to mentor juniors and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Proficiency with Maya or MotionBuilder and related 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality gameplay character and creature animations.
• Apply timing, weighting, arc, and movement principles to 3D animations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to interpret feedback.
• Develop understanding of our custom engine and tools.
• Polish motion capture data to a high standard.
• Track day-to-day tasks using JIRA.
• Mentor juniors under the lead/director.
• Support rigging and skinning discussions with technical animators.
• Contribute to production pipelines across teams.
