Job summary

OCR Alpha, a fast-growing hedge fund, seeks a Fund Controller in London to oversee valuation and financial control across macro/credit strategies. You will own fund control, review NAVs and month-end close, and challenge pricing and model inputs.

The role requires collaboration with investment teams, risk, operations and external service providers, with hybrid work (four days in the office, one day from home) and strong long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Experience across fund control, product control, valuations or fund accounting within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income/Macro products.

Job description

OCR is working with a highly successful, fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund that is continuing to expand its Fixed Income / Macro business.

The firm is looking to hire a Fund Controller into its London team, with responsibility for valuation oversight and financial control across a range of credit strategies.

This is a visible role offering close interaction with investment teams, Operations, Risk and external service providers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Owning fund control and valuation processes across macro portfolios
• Reviewing NAVs, month-end close and fund accounting outputs
• Challenging pricing, valuation movements and model inputs
• Working closely with investment teams to understand portfolio activity and valuation drivers
• Supporting new strategies, fund launches and wider process improvements

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across fund control, product control, valuations or fund accounting within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank or similar environment.

A strong understanding of Fixed Income/Macro products would also be required.
