THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is supporting a global Private Equity fund in search of a Fund Accountant with broad commercial exposure and finance HQ in London. This is an exciting team that offers a true breadth of finance duties, including key contact with the investment business and deal team. The accounting itself is outsourced to administrators, offering more of a review focus with plenty of career opportunities as AUM continues to increase with various asset classes.

This opportunity as a Fund Accountant will focus on the Private Equity side of the business and support operational due diligence. The ideal candidate will be recently qualified or up to 2/3 years PQ with excellent technical knowledge of PE, Investment & Asset Management.

THE ROLE:

• Investment Support: support in investment and operational due diligence, investor reporting, investor relations, responding to investor requests, and assistance with portfolio management.

• Fund Operations: coordinating quarterly and year-end financial reporting, calculating management fees, overseeing the external audit and administrator functions, taxation support where required.

• Reviewing legal documents and contracts, bespoke reporting, internal and external stakeholder management.

• Maintaining carried interest calculation model, cash management, and treasury oversight.

• Governance and Risk Management: internal control monitoring, maintaining fund operations processes, governance and risk diligence of third-party managers of investments.

• Project Coordination: project management, strategic support, and process improvements.

• Data Analytics: input, verification, refining data, and model enhancements.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Chartered Accountant, ACA, ACCA equivalent.

• 0 - 3 years + PQ experience.

• Experience with Financial Services clients/FCA regulated environments.

• Experience working at a top professional services firm as part of accounting qualification.

• Technical knowledge of Private Funds.

• A proven change facilitator, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project goals.
