About the job Senior Fund Accountant

Location: Job is available in Dublin, Luxemburg, Cayman Islands, London - UK, Shanghai - China

Our Client is one of the largest independent fund administrators, delivering a range of services and technology to private debt, hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, private banks, pension funds and family offices.

Core Responsibilities:

1. NAV Calculation
2. Review and understand the funds offering memorandum and verify that offering memorandum agrees to fund set up and ensure ongoing operations adhere to offering memorandum details
3. Liaise with investment managers, prime brokers and custodians in relation to trading activity as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation.
4. Calculate the NAV for a portfolio of complex investment funds on either a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis as specified by the client and as outlined in the administration agreement, which includes, among other things:
5. Track all cash items whether portfolio related, capital transactions or from non-portfolio and other income and expense items
6. Perform three-way reconciliation of cash and assets/liabilities to the investment managers and custodians (frequency depending on trading activity of the fund)
7. Obtain independent third-party pricing support where needed (i.e. from Bloomberg)
8. Review and validate the partner/shareholder allocation calculations, including management and incentive fee calculations and the allocation of feeder specific income and expenses
9. Calculate and send out Estimated and Final NAV as required

Qualifications:

1. University graduate with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, or equivalent).
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on complex securities and derivatives products.
3. Strong understanding of fund administration processes and financial reporting standards.
4. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
