Job summary

Marks Sattin is recruiting a Senior Fund Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Central London with hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 day at home). The role sits in the Fund Finance & Portfolio Management team and offers exposure to fund operations, treasury, investor reporting and governance for multi-billion-pound assets under management.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-5 years post-qualified experience in Investment Management or related fields, and possesses

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Minimum of 3-5 years post-qualified experience.
• Current or recent experience within an Investment Management, Private Equity, Infrastructure Fund or Alternative Asset Management environment.
• Strong fund accounting experience, preferably with closed-ended fund structures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience interacting with third-party administrators and auditors would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly management accounts and audited financial statements.
• Support investor reporting and respond to investor queries.
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors and other service providers.
• Oversee fund liquidity, treasury management and fund financing activities.
• Coordinate capital calls, distributions and investor closings.
• Support fund governance, structuring and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Monitor portfolio performance and support investment and asset management reporting.
• Partner with investment teams on acquisitions, disposals and strategic transactions.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support multi-currency fund structures and treasury activities.

A leading global alternative investments business is seeking a senior fund accountant to join its Fund Finance & Portfolio Management team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with a possibility of becoming permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with investment management fund accounting experience who is looking to broaden their exposure beyond traditional fund accounting and gain involvement across fund operations, treasury, investor reporting, fund governance and portfolio management activities. The role supports infrastructure and private markets funds with multi-billion-pound assets under management and offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the investment platform.
