Job summary

Dex partners with scale‑up teams to connect engineers with roles that match their stack and ambitions. This role sits on a lean data/AI focused platform, owning significant pieces from data ingests to model‑inference workflows.

You will work across a Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI) and React stack, run on AWS with Kubernetes, and embed AI into product and engineering workflows, tackling hard architectural challenges and driving reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years production experience owning platform components end-to-end.
• Proficiency with Python and React, and backend experience with data stores.
• Experience deploying on AWS with Kubernetes and infrastructure ownership.
• Active use of AI tooling in engineering workflows.
• Ability to articulate past architectural decisions and handle ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale core data platform components from dozens to hundreds of customers.
• Drive robustness and reliability across the stack, including Postgres/Redshift/Iceberg.
• Own infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, not just application code.
• Integrate AI directly into product/engineering workflows beyond experimentation.
• Reduce manual support overhead through automation and platform improvements.
