Job summary

VirtuHire is seeking a sole Web Developer in the UK to take full ownership of client websites, including development, hosting, maintenance, and support. You will work on agency-built and client-owned sites, ensuring security, high performance, and optimisation.

The role requires proactive ownership and continuous improvement of how sites are built and delivered. Within 90 days, you’ll take ownership of the existing portfolio, respond quickly to downtime, and start introducing improvements

Qualifications

5+ years of web development experience with strong front-end and back-end skills.
Proven experience with Webflow and WordPress; familiarity with other CMS/frameworks is a plus.
Experience managing hosting, deployments, website security, and maintenance.
Understanding of landing page optimization and paid advertising support.

Responsibilities

Own the full lifecycle of all client websites, including development, hosting, and maintenance.
Build and maintain websites across Webflow, WordPress, and other CMS platforms.
Respond quickly to website issues, downtime, and technical support requests.
Optimize website performance, security, and user experience.
Collaborate with the marketing team to build high-converting landing pages.
Recommend and implement new tools, plugins, and AI solutions to improve delivery.
