Job summary

Version 1 is looking for an experienced Senior Kotlin Developer to join its UK Digital & Cloud Practice. The role requires strong backend skills in Kotlin, Spring Boot and Hibernate, plus frontend experience with TypeScript, Node and Express JS, and cloud architecture expertise.

You will lead technical work, design scalable cloud solutions, participate in agile delivery, and mentor junior staff. SC clearance or eligibility is required or desired.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based software design and delivery.
• Strong understanding of microservices and message-driven architectures.
• Proficient in front-end technologies including TypeScript, Node and Express JS.
• Proficient in Kotlin, Spring Boot and Hibernate for backend development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and SOLID/DRY principles.
• Experience with estimation, sizing and integration of software components.
• Ability to design API interfaces and collaborate with stakeholders.
• SC Clearance or SC Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based software applications.
• Provide technical leadership within a team to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Work within an agile project management environment.
• Own product design, estimation, shaping and user stories.
• Document architecture, configuration, release and support handover.
