Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is partnering with a government organisation to appoint a Senior Full Stack Java Developer on a 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. The role involves developing modern cloud-native applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, and front-end tech, within an Agile team.

Responsibilities cover full SDLC, RESTful APIs and event-driven services, OpenShift deployment, and collaboration with architects, PO and delivery managers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Java applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Design and build scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop modern front-end applications using React and Next.js.
• Deliver cloud-native applications within an OpenShift environment.
• Design and implement secure applications using Spring Security and OAuth 2.0.
• Develop event-driven solutions using RabbitMQ.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Create reusable UI components and contribute to shared design systems.
• Develop comprehensive automated test suites using Playwright.
• Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern engineering practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Monitor performance with Grafana and Kibana; troubleshoot issues.
