Qualifications

• Strong modern Java experience (Java 21+ preferred) building production services.
• Proven backend production readiness and support experience.
• Hands-on microservices with service boundaries and versioning.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL; data modelling and indexing.
• Experience with CI/CD, high-cadence releases, and NFR ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build features across stack: React UI, Java 21+ microservices, and PostgreSQL-backed services.
• Design microservice boundaries, API contracts, and integration patterns.
• Deliver secure, high-performance REST APIs with testable code.
• Containerise services with Docker; support Kubernetes deployment/run.
• Uphold engineering practices: clean code, automated tests, trunk-based development, peer reviews.
