Job summary

Cancer Research UK in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications, services and integrations across the charity. You will develop full stack solutions with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS, design APIs, and help shape engineering standards while improving reliability, security and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Experience building APIs and working with AWS or similar cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting full stack solutions using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS.
• Designing and maintaining APIs, backend services and cloud-based integrations.
• Taking ownership of applications and services within our Corporate Operations portfolio.
• Supporting and modernising existing and legacy systems.
• Improving reliability, security, performance and maintainability.
• Contributing to engineering best practice and continuous improvement.
