Job summary

VIQU Ltd is supporting a defence-focused sovereign AI platform. You will work on a full stack that spans Python back-end services and a TypeScript front end, operating in air-gapped environments with on-site deployment as needed.

The role demands a senior, delivery-focused engineer who thrives on hard problems and aligns with strict security requirements. Expect on-site collaboration, production-grade delivery, and end-to-end ownership from customer conversations through to live systems.

Qualifications

• Python backend experience with APIs and tooling.
• TypeScript frontend experience (React/Vue/Angular).
• Linux proficiency, no GUI, systemd and networking basics.
• Track record delivering full features from DB to browser.
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Calm under pressure and with customer deadlines.
• Willingness to work in secure UK environments and travel to sites.
• Current, active SC clearance; UK-based and able to maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features end to end across the stack.
• Ship software into air-gapped, secured environments on-site.
• Own features from scope with lead, CTO and customer to production.
• Containerise services and run on Kubernetes and bare-metal Linux.
• Write clean code and participate in reviews with senior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues with limited tooling and urgency.
• Collaborate with data, AI, and platform teams to land as one product.
