Job summary

VIQU Limited is recruiting a Full Stack Engineer for a 6+ month contract in the UK, hybrid. You will build Python back-end services and a TypeScript front end for a sovereign AI defence platform operating in secure, air-gapped environments.

You will own features end-to-end, deploy on Kubernetes and bare-metal Linux, and work with senior engineers and customers. A current UK SC clearance and UK-based status are required.

Qualifications

• Python: commercial back-end experience building APIs and tooling (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
• TypeScript front-end experience with React/Vue/Angular.
• Linux: shell, networking, systemd, packages, and troubleshooting.
• Full-stack delivery: shipping features from database to browser with SQL.
• Containers and CI/CD: Docker and automated pipelines.
• Composure under deadlines; methodical in troubleshooting.
• Security: adherence to strict procedures and UK-site work.
• Clear communication with engineers and customers.
• Current, active UK SC clearance; UK-based.

Responsibilities

• Build Python back-end services and APIs and the TypeScript front end for a defence programme.
• Deploy into secure, air-gapped environments with on-site deployment and troubleshooting.
• Own features end-to-end from discussion to production and support.
• Containerise services and run on Kubernetes and bare-metal Linux.
• Write maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Resolve production issues calmly under pressure.
• Collaborate with data, AI and platform engineers to ship as a cohesive product.
• Improve CI/CD, observability, and security practices.
• Engage with customers and partners to translate needs into working solutions.
