Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to own a portfolio of business-critical applications, services and integrations that support teams across the charity.

You will build and maintain full stack solutions using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS, design APIs, and work across legacy systems. This is a hybrid, 35-hour-per-week role based in Stratford with flexible office attendance.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Experience building APIs and working with AWS or similar cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting full stack solutions using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS.
• Designing and maintaining APIs, backend services and cloud-based integrations.
• Taking ownership of applications and services within our Corporate Operations portfolio.
• Supporting and modernising existing and legacy systems.
• Improving reliability, security, performance and maintainability.
• Contributing to engineering best practice and continuous improvement.
