Job summary

Elsevier in the United Kingdom is seeking a software engineer to deliver secure, scalable software and cloud infrastructure in production. You will design, build, and deploy production-ready solutions in AWS, with CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response as part of a cross-functional Agile team.

You will mentor colleagues, contribute to engineering standards, and help improve processes while delivering reliable services that protect customers and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software in AWS with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript/Node.js.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Linux, and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software engineering services for products where security is critical.
• Build production-ready software with KPIs, NFRs, and secure operations.
• Set up and maintain AWS infrastructure for deployed logic.
• Develop monitoring, alerts, and dashboards for operations.
