Job summary

SimplifyVMS is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong AI-native mindset to design and scale our enterprise VMS platform. You will own features end-to-end, work across a complex AWS microservices architecture, and contribute to AI-powered automation and tooling.

Based in Ireland/Northern Ireland with some in-person meetings, you will build backend services in Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Node.js, and Python, while developing frontend components in Angular.

Qualifications

• Ability to design and ship features end-to-end with minimal supervision.

Senior Full Stack Engineer – AI-Native Development

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Java, TypeScript, Python and AI engineering experience to help build and scale our enterprise VMS platform. We need someone who can work independently across a complex AWS microservices architecture, take

ownership of features and deliver production-quality software. AI-native engineering is a core requirement. You must be experienced in building your own AI coding agents, configuring development harnesses and integrating AI capabilities into production software.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, Fastify and Python.
• Develop frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript and PrimeNG.
• Design and maintain APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Build AI-powered features and intelligent automation into our platform.
• Build, configure and orchestrate custom AI coding agents.
• Configure IDEs, agent harnesses, MCP servers, custom skills and automated development workflows.
• Develop real-time application features using Socket.IO.
• Integrate LLMs and AI services using AWS Bedrock.
• Work across AWS infrastructure, databases and event-driven systems.
• Own features end-to-end, from requirements through to production deployment.
• Java & Spring Boot: Strong commercial experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot and production microservices.
• TypeScript & Node.js: Advanced TypeScript development, Node.js, Fastify and backend API engineering.
• Python: Strong Python development experience, including backend services, APIs and automation.
• AI-Native Development: Advanced hands‑on experience using Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex or equivalent coding agents.
• Custom Agents & Harnesses: Proven ability to build, configure and orchestrate AI coding agents, MCP integrations, custom tools and development workflows.
• AI Platform Engineering: Experience integrating LLMs and AI-powered capabilities into production applications.
• Angular: Strong experience developing enterprise frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• AWS: Experience with ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway and containerised cloud applications.
• AWS Bedrock: Practical experience integrating foundation models and AI services into applications.
• Socket.IO: Experience building real-time features and bidirectional communication.
• Databases: Strong SQL experience, ideally MySQL, plus Redis.
• Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs and event-driven processing.
• DevOps: Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing and production troubleshooting.
• Autonomy: Ability to independently design, build, test and deploy complex features with minimal supervision.

• You're comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases, solving difficult problems independently and shipping secure, maintainable production software.
