Job summary

RemoteStar, on behalf of a FTSE 250 global fintech client, is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer - AI enablement for Lifecycle. Based in London, the role operates in a hybrid model (2/3 days in the office).

You will drive AI across lifecycle engineering, focusing on AI-assisted coding, testing, deployments, and tooling integration with Jira, GitLab and CI/CD. You will own long-term technical decisions, champion test-driven development, paired programming, and produce production-ready features

Qualifications

• Extensive background as a Software Engineer with production systems experience.
• Front end React/React Native or Java backend experience across the stack is welcome.
• Strong practice in test-driven development and pair programming.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal tooling embedding AI into day-to-day engineering work.
• Contribute to observability across the AI-assisted pipeline.
• Automate manual steps in coding, testing, and release processes.
• Break work into small releasable pieces for continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with product to ground development in real delivery.
• Mentor engineers in effective use of AI tooling and practices.
• Ensure AI tooling aligns with security, compliance, and data handling.
• Track metrics like cycle time, defect rate, and test coverage to drive improvements.
• Evaluate and roll out LLM-based developer tools and integration with Jira/Confluence/GitLab.
