Abnormal Security is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Behavioral Security Products team. Our company is built around understanding the person we are trying to protect using baselines of historic behaviour and ML models to determine what normal looks like for every employee of a company. Our team builds features that leverage these insights to inform our customers about employee and system activities, especially related to critical attacks like account takeovers.

The role involves building features that help customers diagnose suspicious behaviour quickly, categorize it as an attack or benign, and implement controls to optimize system responses. The ideal candidate will possess qualities such as:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and asynchronously with remote collaborators and stakeholders.
• Versatility to switch between building frontend UI components and backend APIs.
• A desire to grow as an engineer within a strong team, learning from experienced engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Experience working effectively with remote teams across multiple time zones.
• Attention to detail, with a focus on code quality, testing, and performance.
• A growth-oriented mindset, aiming to increase impact, responsibility, and ownership over time.
• The ability to clarify ambiguities and make informed decisions with leadership, rather than improvising solutions.

What you will do

• Work on production systems to stabilize and improve existing features.
• Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to define, build, test, launch, and support new product features.
• Handle both development and testing of software solutions.
• Coordinate with Customer Support and Sales Engineering teams on production issues and sales solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to identify bugs and issues before deployment.
• Use good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions.

Must Haves

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise-class customers.
• At least 1 year of system design experience.
• Experience owning both testing and development of software solutions.
• Experience working with agile methodologies (scrum and kanban).
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones and remotely.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Airflow, Celery, AWS and/or Azure, Postgres.
• Experience with API platform development.
• Experience with Go.
