Job summary

Waracle is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a world-class digital technology consultancy. You will design and deliver end-to-end features across React frontends and scalable backend architectures, while ensuring security and quality.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Glasgow or Dundee offices, collaborating with a smart, ambitious team in a supportive engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex digital products across the full stack.
• Hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks such as .NET C#.
• Experience building responsive UIs with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Familiarity with cloud tooling and patterns including Azure and Docker.
• Strong understanding of SOLID, UI/UX best practices and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end web application delivery from UI to backend subsystems.
• Ensure software quality through peer reviews, testing, and security thinking.
• Translate complex tech choices into clear client-facing language.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the engineering community.
• Balance speed and quality for sustainable feature delivery.

• Full-Stack Architectural Delivery: Collaborating to design and deliver robust end-to-end web applications, pairing intuitive React interfaces with modular, scalable backend subsystems.

• Proven track record of contributing to the delivery of complex digital products across the full stack.

• Deep, practical experience working with modern backend frameworks, such as .NET C#.

• Hands-on, practical experience building responsive web interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity or experience with modern cloud tools and patterns, such as Azure, Durable Functions, Event Sourcing, SQL, and Docker.

• A strong understanding of SOLID principles, UI/UX implementation best practices, maintainability, and industry-standard security practices.

• A supportive, encouraging communication style with a passion for mentoring team members and providing uplifting, constructive feedback.
