Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking Senior Full Stack Developers to contribute across the full software development lifecycle, delivering cloud-native applications and secure, scalable solutions in hybrid teams. You will work across frontend and backend technologies, APIs, and microservices architectures, collaborating with architects, product owners and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing full-stack applications.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience developing back-end services using technologies such as Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs and integration services.
• Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy modern cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable solutions across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop APIs, integrations and services within distributed and microservices-based architectures.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, product owners and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development activities.
• Support code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing across delivery teams.
• Contribute to engineering standards, automation, CI and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges while maintaining quality, security and performance.
• Apply modern software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
