Ebury is building an AI-powered financial crime investigation platform. We seek a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to scale the system from React frontend to Python FastAPI backend and integrate LangGraph-based AI workflows.

You will mentor teammates, shape architectural direction, and work across Product, Design and Compliance to deliver impactful features. Join a fast-growing fintech team in London with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong React + TypeScript skills for complex frontend apps.
• Strong Python backend experience with async frameworks.
• System design skills to design scalable architectures.
• API design: REST, WebSockets, distributed patterns.
• Database proficiency: SQL/NoSQL incl. DynamoDB, PostgreSQL.
• Testing mindset and ownership from idea to production.
• Mentorship and clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build end-to-end features across React frontend and FastAPI backend.
• Design AI agent workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Lead complex features from design to production.
• Integrate varied data sources with robust error handling.
• Improve platform reliability with monitoring and observability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews and pairing.
• Shape engineering practices and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Compliance and other teams.
