Vintage.com is seeking a hands-on Frontend Software Engineer to own front-end craft end-to-end, from interfaces customers use to edge logic via Cloudflare Workers. You’ll shape architecture with the Lead Frontend Engineer and collaborate with Product, Design and QA on quality as the team scales.
You’ll build with React and TypeScript, apply AI tooling responsibly, and partner with marketing tools like HubSpot and Storyblok.
At Vintage.com, we’re building the most trusted platform for pre-loved items. We help people give valuable things a new life, making the experience simple, transparent and rewarding.
We bring together specialist knowledge, thoughtful technology and genuine care for our customers. By helping more items stay in circulation, we create value for people and make a positive impact at the same time.
At Vintage.com, technology is how we scale our impact. Every part of the customer journey - from sending in pre-loved items to getting paid - is powered by the systems we design, the products we build and the data we unlock. Our Technology team is driving greenfield product development, testing fresh ideas and building modern, scalable platforms that set the standard for re-commerce.
You’ll join our web team, working alongside front-end engineers and our Software Engineer in Test, and reporting to the Lead Frontend Engineer. It’s a team where curiosity meets craft: we blend creativity, technical excellence and a strong product mindset to create experiences that feel simple, rewarding and built to last.
We’re looking for a hands‑on Frontend Software Engineer who can own front-end craft and extend it end to end - from the interfaces our customers use to the Cloudflare Workers and light backend services that power them.
This is an individual contributor role with plenty of influence. You’ll build with React and TypeScript, work on API routes, integrations and edge logic using Cloudflare Workers, and help make AI‑first, verify‑second engineering the team’s default.
You’ll partner with the Lead Frontend Engineer on architecture, with Product and Design on user experience, and with our Software Engineer in Test on quality. You’ll set direction through the quality of your code, reviews and judgement, rather than through formal authority.
We’re looking for someone who asks why, not just what. You’ll be curious about our customers and commercial goals, challenge assumptions constructively and help us spot valuable opportunities before they arrive as tickets. This is a UK-based hybrid role, including time with the team in Leeds, and may include occasional travel to our European and other international locations as we grow.
No specific qualifications are required. We care about the work you’ve done, the judgement you bring and how you keep learning.
In this role, living our values means:
Equal Opportunities At Vintage Trading Limited, we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard, respected, and able to bring their authentic self to work. We believe that diversity fuels innovation, creativity, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and we work hard to ensure equitable opportunities for all. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply, your unique skills and experiences might be exactly what we need now or in the future. If you need any adjustments or accommodations during the hiring process, just let us know and we’ll do our best to support you. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
At Vintage.com, we exist to create a world where everything has value and nothing is wasted. We’re building the world’s most trusted platform for pre‑loved items, making it simple for people to unlock the value in the things they no longer need while keeping valuable materials in circulation and out of landfill. What began as a successful model in the UK has evolved into an international business with operations across Europe and ambitions far beyond. Today, we operate as one company, one team, and one brand, united by a shared purpose, mission, and set of values. Behind the scenes, we’re building the world’s largest international trading platform for pre‑loved items, powered by expert people, smart technology, data‑driven decision making, and a deep belief in the circular economy. Our teams collaborate across borders, sharing ownership of outcomes and bringing the same care, fairness, and common sense to every customer interaction and business decision. Every item we buy is rehomed, reused, or responsibly recycled. Whether it’s precious metals, jewellery, watches, cameras, collectibles, or other valuables, we help ensure that items continue their journey rather than going to waste. As we expand into new markets and scale internationally, our goal remains the same: To become the most trusted platform in pre‑loved items, creating a future where everything has value and nothing is wasted.
