Job summary

Grid Dynamics in London is seeking Front End Engineers to modernise electronic trading applications by replacing legacy Angular and desktop tech with high-performance React interfaces used by traders worldwide.

As part of embedded engineering, you’ll deliver mission-critical trading UI, consume live market data, and optimise browser performance for large streaming datasets. You’ll collaborate with backend Java engineers and contribute to reusable components and platform tooling.

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
Experience delivering complex production front-end applications.
Excellent understanding of browser rendering and performance optimisation.
Experience consuming real-time streaming data via WebSockets or similar.
Strong async programming and responsive UI design.
Collaborating across the full tech stack with backend Java services.
Experience with automated testing (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium).
Solid Agile development experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain high-performance React and TypeScript applications.
Build responsive UIs for pricing, execution and post-trade workflows.
Consume real-time market data using WebSockets and messaging tech.
Optimise rendering, memory usage and performance for large datasets.
Develop reusable UI components and shared frameworks.
Migrate legacy Angular apps to modern React architecture.
Collaborate with backend Java engineers on end-to-end solutions.
Build automated UI tests with Playwright or Cypress.
Contribute to architecture, reviews, and best practices.
Deploy via CI/CD into containerised production.
