Job summary

CLARC Recruitment Limited supports an international private banking and wealth management group in London seeking a Front Office Risk & Control Manager focused on suitability monitoring across discretionary, advisory and wealth planning activity.

The role leads a team of Officers in the first line, collaborates with Investment Managers and Wealth Planners, and reports to the Head of Risk & Compliance. Hybrid working in London is available.

Qualifications

• Lead risk-based suitability reviews across investment advice and portfolio management activity.
• Identify trends and potential client detriment from review outcomes.
• Lead investigations where issues arise and ensure actions are delivered.
• Prepare management information and suitability reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Assess the competence of client-facing staff and challenge the business constructively.

Responsibilities

• Lead a programme of risk-based suitability reviews across the firm’s investment advice and portfolio management activity, taking ownership of the more complex cases.
• Identify trends and potential client detriment from review outcomes, lead investigations where issues arise, and ensure agreed actions are delivered.
• Prepare management information and suitability reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Assess the competence of client-facing staff and act as a constructive point of challenge to the business.
