Job summary

Barclays in London seeks a Senior Trading & Sales Assistant – Macro to directly support the Rates Hedge Fund Sales desk. You will sit with the desk, booking trades, pricing and coordinating lifecycle events, and resolving issues with key teams to keep desks running smoothly.

You will build a strong internal network, understand the full lifecycle of Rates Derivatives and identify process improvements to reduce risk and improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in Rates Trading or Sales in a front-office setting.
• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle of Rates Derivatives trades.
• Solid trade capture, pricing, unwinds, novations, restructures knowledge.
• Familiarity with MarkitWire and related workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to traders and sales on the desk.
• Book, price and coordinate new trades, lifecycle events and lifecycle changes.
• Maintain trade records, transaction logs and client databases accurately.
• Prepare reports and communications to support sales and trading.
• Monitor market data and assist in trading decisions and risk awareness.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, risk and tech to resolve issues.
