Job summary

Be-IT seeks a front-end leader to define the architecture for a modern React and TypeScript application used in industrial manufacturing. You will own the standards, guide the craft, and uplift the team as we migrate from a bespoke legacy system.

The role is remote with 1-2 days monthly on-site in Glasgow, UK. You will collaborate with operators to validate designs and ensure reliable, operator-friendly UX that works in real-time production environments.

Qualifications

• Led a product frontend using React and TypeScript in a production environment.
• Experience building for non-expert users in manufacturing or logistics contexts.
• Comfortable coaching teams to improve frontend craft and practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture, standards and craft for a React/TypeScript app.
• Validate designs with operators on the factory floor to ensure real-world usability.
• Mentor and raise the frontend capabilities of the existing engineering team.
• Extend the frontend across the full workflow while migrating from legacy systems.
