Job summary

NUMI is seeking a Front-End Engineer (React and TypeScript) for a remote-first role in the UK, with one mandatory in-office day per week in the South West. You will join a small, cross-functional team building the web and mobile front-ends, close to a Go microservices backend on Kubernetes, and collaborate with design and product to shape a loved product.

You will own the front-end stack, write reusable components, and ensure quality with automated tests while delivering a fast, accessible UI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial React experience.
• Strong TypeScript skills.
• Experience with component libraries such as Shadcn, Radix or MUI.
• Comfort consuming REST APIs.
• Solid HTML/CSS with responsive design.
• Experience with test automation (Jest, RTL).
• Startup mindset with ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the front-end using React and TypeScript.
• Create reusable UI components with Shadcn.
• Work with the backend team to integrate REST APIs.
• Refine user stories with Product and write automated tests.
• Ship to production and monitor performance and quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews and pair programming.
