Placements24 is collaborating with a cutting-edge software development company in East London, ZA, to hire a Senior Frontend Engineer skilled in React and TypeScript. You will build high-quality, responsive UIs for complex web apps and collaborate with designers and backend engineers.

You will write clean, maintainable code, review peers, and contribute to performance optimizations while embracing Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Expertise with React and its ecosystem (Redux, Context API).
• Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks (Jest, RTL).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into components.
• Integrate frontend with server-side logic and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Optimize frontend performance for speed and UX.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and libraries.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot frontend issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Stay updated with frontend trends and best practices.
• Participate in Agile processes like sprint planning and retrospectives.
