Job summary

Speechmatics is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to own end-to-end feature development for our user platform, from ideation to shipping and iteration based on user feedback.

You will build polished interfaces with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, make independent UX/UI decisions, and run A/B tests leveraging analytics to inform product choices. Collaboration with designers, PMs, and backend engineers is essential for delivering impactful features.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production frontend code.
• Product-minded engineering mindset.
• Independently own UX/UI decisions.
• Experience with iterative development and A/B testing.
• Familiar with analytics tools such as Mixpanel.
• Experience collaborating with designers, PMs, and backend engineers.
• Strong frontend testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Own product features from ideation through delivery, contributing to UX thinking, frontend execution, and post-launch iteration.
• Build polished, accessible user interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Make UX and UI decisions independently, collaborating closely with designers and PMs.
• Design and run A/B tests to validate product decisions and surface insights to improve UX.
• Use analytics tooling such as Mixpanel to understand user interactions and feed insights back into development.
• Partner with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that move the needle.
• Write and maintain robust UI tests, ensuring quality in production and at scale.
• Run user interviews to understand how people use the product and what drives adoption.
