Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. You will help build and maintain foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

This is a role at the intersection of product and infra, focused on clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product teams to scope, design scalable end-to-end systems, and ship efficiently in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Experience with scalable system design and end-to-end thinking.
• Ability to ship ideas quickly and decide what can ship now.
• Ability to work in a high-growth, remote-team environment and engage appropriately.
• Collaborative mindset to work with designers, marketers, and PMs.
• Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform; exposure to GCP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by improving abstractions.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
