Job summary

Brook Street, on behalf of a well-established freight forwarding client in Belfast, is seeking a Senior Freight Forwarder to manage shipments end-to-end, coordinating road, sea and air freight to deliver seamless service.

You will build strong customer relationships, quote rates, monitor shipments and liaise with shipping lines, hauliers and overseas agents, while supporting junior colleagues in a busy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong knowledge of international freight operations and customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage international and domestic freight shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Coordinate road, sea and air freight movements, ensuring all customer requirements are met.

• Prepare and process all relevant import and export documentation.
• Provide customers with regular updates and exceptional levels of service.
• Obtain competitive rates and prepare quotations for customers.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure internal systems are updated correctly.
• Build and develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Support and mentor junior team members where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.

Senior Freight Forwarder to join their busy Belfast operation.

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating freight movements across road, sea and air, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the smooth delivery of logistics solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

Proven experience within a freight forwarding environment.

Experience coordinating road, sea and/or air freight shipments.

Previous experience in a

Senior Freight Forwarder, Freight Operations, Import/Export Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or Supervisory Freight role is essential
