Job summary

Brook Street in Antrim, Northern Ireland, is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their busy operations team. You will manage shipments from booking through to delivery, coordinating road, sea and air freight domestically and internationally, and liaising with customers and partners to ensure a professional service.

The successful candidate will have freight forwarding or logistics experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple

• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of road, sea and/or air freight processes.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• The ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritise workload effectively.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
• Good IT and administration skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage freight movements from booking through to successful delivery.
• Coordinate road, sea and air freight shipments both domestically and internationally.
• Liaise with customers, hauliers, carriers, shipping lines and overseas agents.
• Obtain competitive freight rates and prepare accurate quotations for customers.
• Prepare and process all relevant shipping and customs documentation.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing proactive updates to customers.
• Resolve operational issues, delays and customer queries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and internal systems.
• Build and develop strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver exceptional customer service.
