Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to join our FPGA Team. You will design and implement advanced verification environments and help deliver the world’s most capable quantum control systems.

You will own verification strategies, collaborate with RTL designers, and help drive CI pipelines, test benches, and regression suites to ensure reliability and performance across complex FPGA designs.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of FPGA verification experience and a relevant engineering degree.
• Ability to translate specifications into robust verification strategies.
• Strong collaboration with design teams to deliver high‑quality results.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain advanced UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments for complex FPGA designs.
• Define and execute verification plans including constrained-random testing and coverage analysis.
• Collaborate with RTL engineers to debug issues and ensure high-quality implementations.
• Develop and maintain automated regression suites and CI pipelines for design stability.
