Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer for a 6‑month contract based in Newport, UK. You will execute FPGA work packages within cost, time and quality constraints and report on progress.

You will work with VHDL, FPGA synthesis and simulation tools, define architectures, verify designs and integrate FPGAs onto target platforms, with security clearance required on application. This is Inside IR35 and paid up to £85 per hour via umbrella.

Qualifications

• Proficient in VHDL and at least one simulation tool.
• Proficient in at least one FPGA synthesis tool.
• Strong requirements capture and work package estimation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good team player.
• Extensive FPGA development process knowledge; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and document FPGA solution and work breakdown.
• Prepare FPGA architecture and detailed designs and documentation.
• FPGA design generation, implementation and verification.
• Integrate FPGAs onto the target platform and provide technical support.
• Lead and review work within the team; support process updates.
