Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer for an initial 6-month contract in Newport. You will drive FPGA work packages, ensuring alignment with cost, time, and quality targets, and provide technical leadership across the team.

The role requires hands-on experience with VHDL and FPGA design tools, strong requirements capture, and the ability to report progress regularly. Security clearance is noted as required on application.

Qualifications

• Proficient in VHDL and FPGA design methods.
• Experience with at least one simulation tool.
• Experience with at least one FPGA synthesis tool.
• Strong requirements capture and work package estimation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, reporting regularly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and document FPGA solution and work breakdown.
• Prepare FPGA architectural and detailed designs and documentation.
• FPGA design generation and implementation.
• FPGA design verification and integration onto target platform.
• Provide FPGA technical support.
• Lead and review team work where applicable.
• Support FPGA development process and procedure updates.
