FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £50k - £65k (DoE) + Pension & Flexible Working

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FPGA Design Engineer to join a large organization based in Essex. This role is due to new projects in aviation, space, and other industries.

The FPGA Design Engineer will report directly to the Firmware Team Lead and will work within a multidisciplinary R&D team. Responsibilities include writing FPGA code, FPGA development & documentation, firmware verification, and software testing. You will collaborate with Electronics, Software, and FPGA engineers.

Requirements

1. Degree qualified with 5+ years of experience
2. Experience with FPGA using VHDL
3. Proficiency with Microchip Libero and/or Xilinx tools
4. Experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
5. Knowledge of firmware development
6. Experience working in safety-critical environments
7. Experience in aerospace or space industries
