Senior Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Stewartby, Bedfordshire (Office-based)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000-£70,000 + Benefits

We're recruiting on behalf of a premium UK manufacturer known for beautifully designed, intelligent charge points used in residential and workplace environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading hardware design: digital, analogue, RF, and power electronics
• Schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and board bring-up
• Ensuring EMC compliance and supporting product certification
• Collaborating with production teams and resolving hardware issues
• Creating documentation to support internal and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Strong experience in embedded hardware and PCB design
• Deep understanding of EMC compliance and lab testing (oscilloscopes, probes, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach

Desirable Experience

• Proficiency with Altium Designer
• Experience with STMicroelectronics, Espressif, or Atmega microcontrollers
• Background in IoT or mains-powered smart product development
• Familiarity with EV charging standards (Open EVSE, RAPI)
• EMC by design and antenna tuning
• Experience working in Agile environments
