Job summary

Entrust Corporation is seeking an experienced FPGA Lead to design and deliver VHDL-based FPGA solutions within complex, security-focused systems. You will own architecture, integration, and planning, coordinating across hardware, software, and product teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive timely delivery, and evolve development processes including CI/CD and verification. Strong experience with Xilinx platforms and timing closure is required to ensure robust, scalable implementations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, CS, math or related field.
• Proven FPGA-based system design with VHDL RTL, synthesis, and timing closure.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA architectures and toolchains; verification methods.
• Experience integrating FPGA designs into hardware/software systems, including bring-up and debugging.
• Experience in Linux/Windows development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, verification, and debugging of VHDL-based FPGA solutions.
• Own FPGA architecture, including partitioning and interfaces.
• Drive integration with embedded and host software systems.
• Define FPGA development plans, tasks, and technical roadmaps.
• Provide estimates for FPGA activities and manage risks.
• Coordinate FPGA work across engineers and balance workload.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Evolve FPGA development processes including CI/CD and verification practices.
• Contribute to system architecture with hardware, software, and product teams.
• Resolve timing closure and resource optimization challenges.
