Job summary

Energy Services Group, LLC. is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner in Chorley, hybrid working model. You will lead FP&A across Sales and Marketing, partnering with senior leaders to shape growth strategies and optimize investments.

This role requires strong SaaS finance experience and a proven ability to translate business goals into robust financial plans. The ideal candidate will drive forecasting accuracy, support strategic planning and deliver high-quality financial insight.

Qualifications

• Significant FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA).
• Demonstrable experience partnering senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing or Commercial functions.
• Experience working within a SaaS, software or technology business.
• Strong Go-To-Market operating models and commercial growth drivers.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to influence decision-making and provide effective commercial challenge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior FP&A partner to Sales and Marketing leadership teams.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across Go-To-Market functions.
• Provide strategic financial insight and recommendations to support revenue growth, profitability and business performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate commercial strategies, pricing initiatives, market opportunities and investment decisions.
• Support annual planning processes, ensuring sales and marketing strategies are translated into achievable and financially robust plans.
• Develop and maintain financial models supporting revenue forecasting, customer acquisition, retention and growth initiatives.
• Analyse performance against key SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion and retention metrics.
• Provide clear analysis of business performance, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
• Challenget business assumptions and forecasts to improve planning accuracy.
• Support investment appraisal and business case development for strategic growth initiatives.
• Partner with Revenue Operations and Commercial teams to improve forecasting methodologies and reporting.
• Deliver high-quality reporting and presentations for senior leadership and the exec team.
• Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes and planning frameworks.
• Coach and support Finance Business Partners and FP&A analysts.
