Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Domain Expert – FP&A (Financial Forecaster) to review AI-agent rollouts and judge accuracy against the model and documents. You will identify failure modes, improving realism and difficulty to reflect authentic FP&A tasks, and refine grading guidance for precise evaluation.

The role requires 5+ years in FP&A with strong Financial Forecaster proficiency, including reading models, scenario handling, and covenant/KPI linkage. A strategic, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, lender-reporting or controller roles.
• Frequent use of Financial Forecaster weekly or more as part of your job.
• Ability to read and interpret Financial Forecaster models and packs.

Responsibilities

• Review and QA AI-agent rollouts: verify agent answers against model and documents.
• Identify failure modes and flag easy or solvable tasks without proper model use.
• Improve realism and difficulty of tasks to reflect authentic FP&A work.
• Update grading guidance for accuracy to ensure correct answers pass and wrong ones fail.
• Catch plausible-but-wrong answers that could mislead reviewers.
