Job summary

whynow, a London-based entertainment company, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join its finance team. You will support financial planning, reporting, and strategic insight to help leadership make informed decisions.

In this role you will prepare monthly and quarterly statements, assist budgeting and forecasting, build financial models, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive performance while ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or actively working towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Looker.
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance against targets and investigate variances.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios and investment opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of board and executive-level presentations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
