Job summary

Hill Dickinson LLP in Liverpool is seeking a proactive Senior FP&A Analyst to lead rolling forecast models, scenario analysis and long-range planning to drive profitability and commercial performance.

The role reports to the Financial Controller and collaborates with the Finance Director and senior partners, requiring advanced Excel, SQL, ERP and Power BI skills, with a proven track record in financial modelling and analysis.

Qualifications

• Full or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL/ERP/Power BI experience.
• Experience in commercial finance, financial planning, forecasting and modelling.
• Experience building integrated three-statement financial models.
• Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable advice for stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Proactive and determined attitude.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to learn to work with new systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a rolling forecast model at group level and own the process.
• Produce analysis on budget output to identify risk areas and opportunities to improve profit.
• Develop a long-range planning model up to 5 years with scenario analysis.
• Analyse historical cash flow trends and produce forecasts for locations and group.
• Analyse group expenditure to identify cost savings and margin improvements.
• Maintain analytical models to identify trends, risks and KPIs.
• Build models to evaluate project performance, capex and pricing.
• Document, test and maintain all financial models.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve tools.
